The Importance of the SHSAT

Every year, approximately 27,000 New York City 8th & 9th graders take the SHSAT to gain admission to one of the NYC Specialized High Schools.

These include Stuyvesant H.S., Bronx H.S. of Science, and Brooklyn Technical H.S.

Only 2,500 students are accepted in total to the original three.

How does Khan’s Signature SHSAT program break down?

Weekly Classwork & Homework

The Core SHSAT Program with rolling admission is offered online & in-person. We’ve curated our curriculum for online and in-person use. Every class day, students receive a lesson, classwork, and homework.

Classes per Week

Our 9th grade SHSAT program is scheduled for weekends and will meet twice a week, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays. Students can expect to attend classes on both days to prepare for the SHSAT exam.

Hour Classes

Our 2-hour classes are small and interactive, ensuring your student gets the individual attention they need.

Monthly Diagnostic Exams

The SHSAT Program includes one signature diagnostic exam every month. Parents will also be able to speak to instructors in regards to the diagnostic exam and the student’s progress. We track your student’s progress with respect to mastering the material.
