The Dr. Mansur Khan SHSAT Opportunity Scholarship is a prestigious award established to honor the legacy of Dr. Mansur Khan, a passionate advocate for education and equal opportunities for all students. This scholarship, created in 2014, aims to empower students from underrepresented communities to prepare for the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT), opening doors to some of New York City’s most competitive high schools.
Over the past 30 years, Khan’s Tutorial has helped over 4,862+ students gain acceptance into NYC’s prestigious Specialized High Schools.
The 2026 Dr. Mansur Khan SHSAT Opportunity Scholarship provides full access to SHSAT test preparation, giving motivated students access to high-quality tutoring, resources, and mentorship. Recipients will be selected based on their academic excellence, and commitment to learning. This scholarship seeks to support students who may otherwise face barriers to receiving the preparation necessary to excel on the SHSAT.
Overview

Classes will begin in Summer of 2025 and continue until the October 2026 SHSAT Exam for Scholarship Winners.
Requirements
- Must be a Current 7th Grader in an NYC Middle School
- Must have at least an 85 Average in Math, English, and Overall
- Must take a Diagnostic at a Khan’s In-Person Location
- Must apply to a Specialized High School
- Must attend ALL classes and complete the program in its entirety
