New York, NY – March 26, 2019 – After a year of hard work, hundreds of families visited their local KT center for SHSAT Acceptance Weekend 2019. This year, Khan’s Tutorial helped 358 students gain acceptance into New York City’s prestigious Specialized High Schools. Families celebrated the success of their students and also received invitations to KT’s Annual SHSAT Awards Ceremony taking place at the Colden Auditorium at Queens College next month. Since 1994, Khan’s Tutorial has helped over 3,356 students gain acceptance to the Specialized High Schools.

New York, NY – March 21, 2019 – This past Monday marked the release of the results of the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT), the sole determinant of admission into New York City’s prestigious Specialized High Schools. Stuyvesant High School, Bronx High School of Science, and Brooklyn Technical High School offer acceptances to a total of about 3,000 students per year out of 30,000 students who take the challenging exam. This year, due to Mayor DeBlasio’s expansion of the Discovery Program, there is a scarcity of Specialized High Schools seats and overall more competition due to higher cut off scores.

Queens, NY – This past weekend High School Achievement Program Quality Managers from across Khan’s Tutorial’s 11 locations gathered at the brand new SAT & Regents Center in Jackson Heights for a strategy meeting. The meeting, led by program leader and Columbia graduate Ms. Tasneem Imam Khan was held to discuss new changes in Khan’s Tutorial’s SAT Program. The new program which started this month boasts a continuously updated and customized curriculum designed to boost student scores. Furthermore, students meet for 1-2 sessions per week for 80 hours over the course of the program to effectively master the exam. In the past two years, Khan’s Tutorial’s SAT Program has helped hundreds of students score above a 1300, with many surpassing 1400 and 1500.
