This past Thursday, Khan’s Tutorial was invited to meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Leaders Dr. Ivan Khan, CEO & President, and Mrs. Nayeema Khan, Executive Vice President were able to meet with the Prime Minister at a dinner reception hosted by the permanent ambassador to the UN from Bangladesh.
This past Wednesday, Khan’s Tutorial was invited to participate in a press conference in Flushing with New York State Assemblyman candidate Phil Gim. Both Dr. Ivan Khan, President & CEO of Khan’s Tutorial, and Sami Rabb, Director of Community Outreach, spoke on a panel of Specialized High School graduates in their continued effort to keep the test the sole admissions criteria for entrance to top NYC high schools including Stuyvesant, Bronx Science and Brooklyn Tech.
Khan’s Tutorial announced the grand opening of their newest location, which will be serving the community of Richmond Hill. Located on 191-15 Liberty Ave, this will mark Khan’s Tutorial’s tenth location opened in the outer boroughs of New York City.
This past Sunday Khan’s Tutorial met with NYC community leaders and members at Queens Library in Flushing to discuss the proposed changes to the Specialized High School Admissions Process to combat the lack of diversity. Panelists and community members alike expressed their support for the existing arrangement, saying that the test-only policy is unbiased and rewards students purely based on hard work and dedication.
Yesterday at KT Parkchester, New York State Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda honored several KT students with awards for their outstanding academic achievements as well as Khan’s Tutorial for their amazing work in education. This past year KT helped 185 students gain acceptance to NYC’s Specialized High Schools. Assemblyman Sepulveda honored several of these students from KT Castle Hill and KT Parkchester by hosting a celebration for their families.
