Khan’s Tutorial CEO, Dr. Ivan Khan, and Executive Vice President, Mrs. Nayeema Khan, meet with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina During Visit to the United Nations

This past Thursday, Khan’s Tutorial was invited to meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Leaders Dr. Ivan Khan, CEO & President, and Mrs. Nayeema Khan, Executive Vice President were able to meet with the Prime Minister at a dinner reception hosted by the permanent ambassador to the UN from Bangladesh.

“We are looking forward to helping Bangladeshi New Yorkers with support and blessings from our leaders back home. As always, we are grateful to have support from leaders who help Khan’s Tutorial’s efforts in education for Bangladeshi youth in New York,” said Mrs. Nayeema Khan.

Beyond Khan’s Tutorial, the event was attended by several Ministers from the government of Bangladesh as well as select leaders in the New York City Bangladeshi community. The prime minister has been attending regularly every fall for the UN general body assembly. Tonight, Khan’s Tutorial will be joining the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina again to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of Bangladesh joining the UN general body.

“As Bangladeshi New Yorkers we are extremely proud of the progress made in our community over the past 25 years. We are excited for more change and hope for an even brighter future,” said Dr. Ivan Khan.

For the past 20 years, Khan’s Tutorial’s mission has been to bring quality education at affordable costs. With 10 locations in the outer boroughs of New York City, including Brooklyn, Castle Hill, Parkchester, Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Sutphin, Richmond Hill, Astoria, Ozone Park, and Floral Park, Khan’s Tutorial primarily serves in assisting families in low-income neighborhoods and new immigrant communities. Since its inception in 1994 a total of 1,625 students have gained admission to New York City’s Specialized High Schools through Khan’s Tutorial.
