New York, NY – April 21, 2022 – This past Tuesday marked the release of the results of the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT), the sole determinant of admission into New York City’s prestigious Specialized High Schools. Stuyvesant High School, Bronx High School of Science, and Brooklyn Technical High School offer acceptances to a total of about 3,000 students per year out of 30,000 students who take the challenging exam.

Over 450 Khan’s Tutorial Common Core Students Receive Certificates of Mastery!
New York, NY – May 26th, 2021 – Congratulations to over 450 Khan’s Tutorial Common Core students who received Certificates of Mastery last week in Writing, ELA, and Math. The students who received the certificates showed consistent attendance and hard work throughout the year and earned a classwork average of 80% or higher. Many of these students started our online program last summer.

New York, NY – May 11th, 2021 – Last week, the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) results were released. These results determine the admissions into New York City’s specialized high schools. There are a total of 9 specialized high schools including Stuyvesant High School, Bronx High School of Science, Brooklyn Technical High School, etc. Every year approximately 30,000 students take this challenging exam and less than 2,500 students are accepted.

Khan’s Tutorial Hosts Special Ekushey February Screening Of Short Film, Dawat
Manhattan, NY — Last week Khan’s Tutorial hosted a private screening of short film, Dawat for Ekushey February. The screening was held at Foley Gallery and included a panel with the cast and crew led by CEO of Brown Girl Magazine, Trisha Sakhuja-Walia. The film, set in Queens, NY tells the story of a young Bengali-American woman struggling against her family’s expectations to follow her dreams. Told over the course of a classic Bengali family dinner party, the short film explores the intergenerational relationship between a mother and her daughter as they come to terms with their pride and traditions in the face of a huge decision.
