New York, NY – October 28, 2022 – This week, on October 26, 2022, Khan’s Tutorial CEO, Dr. Ivan Khan was honored at Madison Square Garden during their Educator Appreciation Night. Dr. Ivan Khan has continuously served the community all around New York City, helping families through not just supplemental tutoring, but mentorship in their primary and higher education journeys.
Founded in 1994, Khan’s Tutorial has served the educational needs of countless children and families. Khan’s Tutorial has helped with the success of many children’s aspirations from Grades 3-12, helping students achieve their dreams of educational prowess and upward mobility.
Inspired by the impact of the 1971 Concert For Bangladesh, Khan’s Tutorial works tirelessly to change the lives of countless first-generation immigrants all across New York & the country. Started by two teachers, Khan’s has accounted for nearly 5,000 admissions and is now synonymous with access to top high schools and colleges all across the city and United States.
The recognition night was unveiled late Wednesday before the Knicks victory against the Charlotte Hornets. Before the game began, Dr. Ivan Khan & Khan’s Tutorial was featured on the massive JumboTron of the Garden as the evenet’s educator honoree. Dr. Khan was selected for his dedication and academic contributions to the community for countless years as he was escorted to the center court for his inauguration.
It was the first time Madison Square Garden has recognized a Bangladeshi small business organization in its history, bringing representation to the South Asian community. Dr. Ivan Khan was presented with a signed R.J. Barrett jersey and a check amount which will be donated to a cancer research organization.
The New York Knicks also showed major hospitality towards Dr. Ivan Khan and his wife as their tickets were upgraded to be in the Madison Square Suites and were provided unlimited dinner at MSG. Overall, the Knicks organization rewarded Dr.Ivan Khan and Khan’s Tutorial for his hard work and efforts to push the community of families to far bigger aspirations. Khan’s Tutorial wants to thank the Knicks organization and Madison Square Garden for the unforgettable evening and wants to wish them a great season ahead.
Madison Square Garden has been a longtime global landmark, dating back to when it was launched in 1968. Now in 2022, only a couple blocks away, Khan’s Tutorial has opened a new location in the Flatiron District where families all over NYC can walk over and continue the ongoing upward mobility of the community which was started just 28 years ago by the late Dr. Mansur Khan and Mrs. Nayeema Khan.
