Khan’s Tutorial Participates in Bronx Bangladeshi Abrazo

Bronx , NY – Yesterday Khan’s Tutorial CEO Dr. Ivan Khan and Chairperson Mrs. Nayeema Khan joined several Bronx community leaders at the 2nd Annual Bangladeshi “Abrazo”, a Hispanic Celebration of unity & cultural recognition. The event was hosted by NYS Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda, NYS Senator Ruben Diaz Sr., NYS Assemblyman Marcos Crespo, and NYS Assemblyman Michael Blake to celebrate Bangladeshi Independence Day as well as empower the Bronx Bangladeshi community.

The event included an Independence Day parade as well as ceremony of recognition where NYS Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda honored the sacrifices made by Bangladeshi Freedom Fighters-Mukhtijudhaas during the 1971 Independence Movement. Additionally Dr. Ivan Khan received a Certificate of Merit from the New York State Senate & New York State Assembly for Khan’s Tutorial’s work in the Castle Hill and Parkchester communities of the Bronx.

With 10 locations in the outer boroughs of New York City, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and in the Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Astoria, Ozone Park, Richmond Hill and Floral Park neighborhoods of Queens, Khan’s Tutorial primarily serves in assisting families in low-income Bangladeshi-American neighborhoods. Over 1,878 students have gained admission to New York City’s Specialized High Schools through Khan’s Tutorial since its inception in 1994.
