WNYC Visits Khan’s Tutorial for Feature on SHSAT

Khan's Tutorial Student from NPR.

Late last month Beth Fertig, contributing education editor for WNYC on air and online at
SchoolBook.org, visited Khan’s Tutorial Jackson Heights to learn more about our SHSAT program and speak to some of our dedicated students. Ms.Fertig, a frequent contributor to NPR, currently reports on the New York City public school system. Her piece about the popularity of test prep in immigrant communities features a conversation with Dr. Ivan Khan, CEO about Bangladeshi families, Bangladeshi culture in relation to education, and the importance of the NYC Bangladeshi Media. The feature story aired  on WNYC, FM 93.9 and AM 820 and is currently on WNYC.org. A longer version played nationally on the public radio show The World Monday afternoon. Finally there is an article version on WNYC.org
well.

For the past 20 years, Khan’s Tutorial’s mission has been to bring quality education at affordable costs. With 10 locations in the outer boroughs of New York City, including Brooklyn, Castle Hill, Parkchester, Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Sutphin, Richmond Hill, Astoria, Ozone Park, and Floral Park, Khan’s Tutorial primarily serves in assisting families in low-income neighborhoods.
