Quotes from the Event!

“We believe that the spirit of motherhood and family should be celebrated and honored,” said Dr. Ivan Khan, CEO of Khan’s Tutorial. “These distinguished mothers of college and career-bound students are an inspiration to us all, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to honor them at our Mother’s Day event,” added Tasneem Imam Khan, MPH, Chief Operating Officer at Khan’s Tutorial.

“All the honorees are mothers of Khan’s Tutorial students who have attended the program since early childhood.  Throughout the years, these exceptional mothers brought their children to me, my late husband Dr. Mansur Khan, our son Ivan and our many centers every summer for the summer program, and prepared them for every major exam, including State Exams, Specialized High School Exam, the SAT and Regents. I am incredibly proud to see the proud mothers whose children are set to graduate and become outstanding members of society”. – Nayeema Khan, Chairperson of Khan’s Tutorial

“For them to grow we have to be there for them and understand them. Even though disagreements are bound to happen, it is our responsibility as mothers to guide them down the right path. My daughters attended Khan’s with Dr. Khan and went on to Stuyvesant and Hunter High School. Later they attended NYU, and Wellesley, and completed Medical School and their Masters’s Degree in Education. I am so grateful to reach this point in their lives”. – Mother of Doctor Odreka Ahmed, MD & Ms. Onema Ahmed, Master in Education

“We just can’t let our children go. We have to be in their lives from beginning to end whether it’s for education or just for their well-being. Mothers and fathers have to guide them [children] and help them through their journey outside of just education.” – Mother of Sabrina Binte, MBA

“I was able to put my son with Khan’s Tutorial in full confidence knowing such a great place created by Dr. Mansur Khan, Nayeema Khan, Ivan, and Nipa [Tasneem Imam Khan]. My son was able to become a doctor because of the guidance they received from Khan’s.” – Mother of Dr. Niloy Iqbal Jafar, MD, Ph.D

“Dr. Mansur Khan gave my son guidance on how to talk, how to teach, and how to ultimately hold themselves in a professional setting. The teachings of Dr. Khan, Nayeema Khan, Ivan, and Nipa [Tasneem Imam Khan] guided them throughout their lives to achieve success.” – Mohammed Hossain, MBA & Taseen Khan, Finances Manager & Senior Director

“Khan’s Tutorial creates opportunities for children to achieve what we couldn’t at their age. As proud parents our success live on with them.” – Catalina Cruz, New York State Representative
